A simple homemade astringent, body splash, toner:
Astringent tend to be stronger than toners and body splashes and re usually used on oily combination and normal skin types. The fresh ingredients body care recipes to use chilled on a hot summer days.
Aloe vera Body splash:
Recommended for All skin types
1/2- teaspoon Aloe vera juice
1-cup water
Combine and use as an after bath splash, rinse or cleanser. Recipe maybe double or tripled as you desired
Cucumber Toner:
Recommended for All skin types
the juice of the cucumber when mixed with water is an excellent cooler and toner
1-Cup cucumber Juice
2- cup water
Sliced and peel the cucumber and place in a bowl, pour 1 cup boiling water over the slice and allow to steep un till cucumber becomes mushy. Strain and mix with the remaining cup of water, this recipe is best when fresh . Refrigerate if you wish to use a later.
To use: Using a cotton cleansing pad apply approximately 1 teaspoon to the face .Avoid eye area.
Lemon Refresher-Astringent:
Recommended for oily, combination, normal, oily mature skin
The Lemony aroma as the astringent very refreshing and stimulating to use chilled on a hot summer days.
Avoid use on breakout, acne prone, sensitive ,dehydrated ,environmentally damaged, sun burned, wind burned skin
